Frequently Asked Questions

Getting into an accident is stressful. Below are answers to the questions we hear most often about our collision centers, our repair process, and how to find the location nearest you. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us and our team will help.

How do I find the Penske collision center nearest me?
Visit our Collision Center Locations page to see all of our locations across the country and find the shop closest to you. Each location page includes the address, phone number, and hours for that specific center.
Are all Penske collision centers held to the same standard?
Yes. Every Penske Automotive Collision and Repair Center follows the same certified repair process. Our technicians are trained on manufacturer recommended repair guidelines, and many of our locations hold OEM specific certifications for the brands they service.
What services do Penske collision centers provide?
Our collision centers handle a full range of auto body and collision repair needs, including frame straightening, dent removal, paintless dent repair, computerized factory color matching and paint refinishing, and glass and windshield replacement. Specific services can vary slightly by location.
What is a Penske Rapid Repair Center?
Rapid Repair Centers handle quick turnaround repairs such as windshield replacement and repair, headlight repair and replacement, dent removal, wheel refinishing, and ADAS calibrations for cameras, sensors, and blind spot monitoring on newer vehicles. These services are often needed even after a seemingly minor accident.
Where do I get a claim number?
Your claim number is issued by your insurance company when you report the accident. Once you have it, just bring it with you, or provide it over the phone, to the location handling your repair, and the team there will take it from there with your insurer.
Will Penske collision centers work directly with my insurance company?
Yes. Our collision centers work directly with major insurance providers to help expedite your claim and minimize your paperwork.
Do you use OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts?
We prioritize genuine OEM parts whenever possible to help ensure a proper factory fit and long term durability, and our teams work closely with insurance providers to maximize the use of genuine components in every repair.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
Yes. Our collision centers guarantee their workmanship with a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all of our repairs for as long as you own the vehicle.
How do I schedule an estimate at a specific location?
Once you find your nearest location on our Collision Center Locations page, you can schedule an estimate or appointment directly through that location's website, or call the center to speak with a collision specialist.
How do I contact Penske Automotive Collision and Repair Centers?
You can reach our team through the Contact Us page, or find the direct phone number and address for any of our individual collision center locations on their respective location pages.
If my vehicle is currently leased or under warranty, does it matter where I repair the vehicle?
Yes. Choosing a repair facility that is certified for your vehicle's make is an important step in helping avoid potential lease-return and warranty-related issues. Our certified locations meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards and are equipped to perform repairs using manufacturer-approved procedures, parts, and equipment for the brands they are certified to service. While repairs completed at a certified facility may help support a smoother lease turn-in process, we cannot guarantee the waiver of any disposition, excess wear and tear, excess mileage, turn-in, or other lease-end fees, as all final assessments and charges are determined by the leasing company.
If my vehicle is not drivable, can a Penske Collision Center assist with transporting my vehicle to one of their locations?
We always recommend checking with your insurance company first for towing assistance and inquiries. However, should you need further assistance, you can contact the collision center closest to you and our team will help guide you on best next steps based on your location and situation.
